Description:
This series grew out of the experience of sitting in my garden reading about horrific events taking place in the Middle East. It is a response to events in which histories and cultures are smashed together in a crazy dance that alternates between beauty, irony, and terror. They combine 15th century Indian drawings of arabesques and battles with contemporary newspaper articles and flowers.
